Williamsburg Bridge is a suspension bridge located in New York. It goes from Manhattan to Brooklyn across the East River.
At the end of the 1860's saw the need for an additional bridge over the East river, as the population increased. After much trouble began construction of the bridge in 1896. When the Williamsburg Bridge opened in 1903, was the longest suspension bridge in the world until 1924 The bridge has a span of 490 meters and a total length of 2227 meters.
