Bosphorus Bridge located in Istanbul in Turkey. Also called the first Bosphorus bridge. The bridge is one of three bridges that cross bosporos strait that divides Asia and Europe. The decision to build a bridge over the Bosphorus was decided by Prime Minister Adnan Menderes in 1957. Construction of the bridge began in 1970 and in 1973 opened the bridge. The bridge is 1560 meters long and the main span is 1,074 meters
