The Tsing Ma Bridge is a suspension bridge located in Hong Kong. The bridge is part of The lantau link which is the connection from the city center to the airport which is on the island of Chek Lap Kok. The bridge connects the islands of Tsing Yi and Ma Wan, after which the bridge is also named.
Construction of the bridge started in 1992 and the bridge opened in 1997. The bridge has car traffic in the upper deck and train traffic in the lower deck.
The Tsing Ma bridge is 2,160 meters long and has a span of 1,377 meters, which makes it the world's largest suspension bridge that carries both car and train traffic.
